Summertime fun

We started off the weekend with a trip to the Children's Museum on Friday with the playgroup.

MB and Will enjoyed digging in the garden.

Will and Drew going for a ride in the truck.

Farmer Mary Beth riding a tractor.

"I wasn't speeding officer, I promise!"

Gathering eggs.

Waiting patiently to start their art project.

My little Picasso. It got messy very quickly!

Somehow Will stayed much cleaner.
Clean up was just as much fun as painting!

On Saturday we went to Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens.

They have an amazing butterfly exhibit.

Photography by John "Ansel" Hallett.

Butterflies of all sizes and colors.

Mary Beth was absolutely fascinated. She loved the butterflies and wanted to touch them all!

We had to hold her back!

So beautiful.

Lewis Ginter has a great water park for the little ones.

The ground of the water park is soft turf so MB could run and run.

Not a great family portrait.

MB and John in the Tree House at the Garden. Check out the wild curls!

We left exhausted but happy!

We met up with the McDermott's for a drink after the trip to the Garden. MB gave Sean a kiss in honor of his 1st birthday!

He seemed to enjoy it!

Splish Splash

MB loves playing in the fountain at Stoney Point.

Little Farm

We got a chance to preview the new exhibit at the Children's Museum on Wednesday night, called the Little Farm. Mary Beth loved it!

She patted the big cow and said "MOOOOOOO" as loud as she could.

She shopped in the Farmer's Market.

She picked some corn.

She drove the truck!

What a cute farmer couple.

Drunken Sailor

Look who's on the move!

Agnes Irwin Girls

The Agnes Irwin girls got together over the weekend with our kiddos.

Feeding time!

Darian and Piper fighting off Mary Beth for the puffs.

Single Ladies

MB's favorite song. Notice she says "cheese" when the camera comes on. Well trained!

Weekend Happenings

Helping Mama with the laundry...not sure how she managed to get herself into the basket.

Baby pigs at the Farmer's Market on Saturday morning.

Mary Beth was fascinated. We didn't tell her that the guy with the baby pigs was also selling bacon.

No more pictures, please.

Okay, maybe one more smile!

Trying to snuggle before she escapes again. Always on the move!

Daddy gets artistic with the camera.

Pretty girl.

On Sunday John, Chris and Jamey ran in Stratford Hills 10k. We were there to cheer them on.

So fast we almost missed him!

We didn't get the hang of cheering until after the race. But better late than never.

Sharing a post-race 'nana with Daddy.

Runners (looking a little more alive than Weez and I did last weekend.)

Hanging out at the Broad Appetit Food Festival. MB had risotto, carrot cake, cheese and crackers and goldfish (we brought those with us).
